Forex Traders Association is proud to present...

Derek Frey

Have you had the experience of using an indicator regularly and then after a while it quits working?  Most people use indicators for trading and do not even look into what the indicator is doing mathematically, let alone why and how it does what it does.

Have you had the experience of using a trading system that works beautifully and then after a while it quits working? I think we all have. Some systems work well in trending markets, and others work better in ranging markets.

Derek Frey, Co-founder and Head Trader of Odom & Frey Futures & Options will pull the cover back from these indicators and explain why they "break" from time to time and will discuss methods that are currently working to overcome these issues.

Mr. Frey’s approach to the markets is unique, in that he takes a scientific approach to the markets, incorporating facets of chaos theory as well as physics and fractal geometry into his trading.   This will be a very interactive session, so be prepared to participate and ask lots of questions!

Derek Frey has been involved in the Futures, Options, and Forex markets for almost 20 years, working at such well respected financial firms as Merrill Lynch, MetLife, and American Express Financial Advisors before starting O&F.  Mr. Frey is regularly quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, The National Post, and Reuters and has written articles for Option Trader Magazine and Pit News Magazine.  His newsletters are sought after by traders around the world and he can be heard on etvFUTURES/ForexTV weekly, as well as FxStreet.com's  “Live look at the FX week ahead” every Monday.  He is a popular speaker at many trading conventions around the world and was the keynote speaker at the International Traders Conference (ITC) held in Barcelona, Spain in October 2008.

We have all been frustrated by indicators that work sometimes and then stop.  Here is a chance to understand why that happens and what can be done about it.  Don’t miss this enlightening presentation!
